Steps or Speed is one of the six raw abilities that determine how your Hero can interact with the world.
Step determines how many spaces a character can move in a given turn of combat. The Hero start with 5 steps, and it can only be increased in TRPG2 and TPA1 by the use of the Green Orb. It can, however, be upgraded in TSoG from a side quest that Arman gives you.
Dark Spriggats using Dark Breath can reduce characters' Speed by 1 each time, unless they have Shadow Resistance. Speed can finally get as low as 2.
