The Shadowling Republic arose from the ashes of the Shadowling Empire after the downfall of the monarch, Queen Nelis, at the end of the Shadow War. With the capital based in Somnus, the Shadow Republic is lead by a joint-board of Spriggats and Shadowlings who work on a common ground with numerous changes utilizing equality, unlike it's predecessor. Shadowling Loyalists, an opposing group who holds on to the memories of the long dead queen, causes problems for this new government.
