During the Shadow War, Lake Alto serves as the site for a series of battles between General Darkeye and Cerzak, in which Tastidian eventually asks his personal slave to intervene. In order to navigate through a dissident minefield to get to a wounded Darkeye, Tastidian's slave is given a boat that uses resonance crystals to steer.
