Griffin Zelzal appears in Telepath RPG: Servants of God.
Background[]
Charismatic and good-humored, Griffin is Duvalier's childhood best friend. Griffin's parents are senators, although they deny that Griffin has the Gift, and he is not on speaking terms with them. To 'set him straight', Griffin's parents forced him to join the Ravinale Guard. When soldiers were being purged from the Guard, Griffin deserted and joined the People's Resistance of Ravinale. After Resistance leader Darime was killed in a duel with General D'Kah, Griffin took command of the Resistance.
Involvement[]
Griffin appears abruptly during the opening sequence and frees Duvalier from prison. Duvalier soon learns that Griffin is, in fact, the leader of the Peoples' Resistance of Ravinale.

Strategy[]
Griffin is competent swordsman able to withstand more punishment than just about anyone else on the team. He is trained to automatically counterattack enemies who assault him head-on, making him ideal to defend choke points.
He is also one of the most powerful allies that the game has to offer, as raising his Strength by 1, scales up his Backhander and Double Strike by 2. Double Strike is meant to be the skill used most frequently, since it's his strongest skill.
Another tip, stop increasing his Psy Power when he learns Double Strike, as Psy Power has no effect on his damage.

Trivia[]
- Griffin gets annoyed if you bring up his parents.
- If Griffin is alive when you face Fernatus in Mission 3, Fernatus mentions Griffin's last name in the dialog that ensues: Zelzal.
- You can choose Griffin as your character's name, however, the box that says "Next" quickly disappears, so it takes timing to select it. This is true for the rest of the player's allies. It is also only possible to lose if both Griffins die.
- Griffin can't stand bugs, especially roaches
- In one of Servants of God endings: "Griffin was elected President of Ravinale in a landslide. He has governed pragmatically. At the same time, however, he has steadfastly refused to compromise on issues of personal or religious freedom, heading off attempts by the Parliament to make the worship of Yawah illegal."
