Difficulty is a measure of how hard a game is. In the context of Telepath RPG, difficulty determines how much certain things cost, along with how much damage and health enemies have. Additionally, in Telepath RPG: Servants of God, difficulty affects how sophisticated the enemy AI is.
The difficulty levels are Easy, Normal, Hard, and Brutal. Normal is the default difficulty. Enemy statistics on this wiki are usually based on the Normal difficulty. Telepath RPG: Servants of God has a "Nightmare" difficulty as well.
Telepath RPG 2[]
In Telepath RPG 2, you can adjust difficulty at any time via the in-game options menu. Difficulty scales enemy damage and health points. Rewards from winning battles increase gradually as the difficulty gets higher. Every time you start a New Game +, the difficulty degree increases by one, until beating the game on Hard. Finishing the game on Brutal will result in all New Games+ to be on Brutal again.
Telepath RPG: Servants of God[]
In Telepath RPG: Servants of God, difficulty is selected when creating a new game, and cannot be changed afterwards. It continues to increment forward. Nightmare is the maximum level of difficulty being accesible when Brutal is beaten; all New Games+ later will have Nightmare as their difficulty.
As the difficulty level gets higher, Training costs become more expensive. Gold earned from beating battles on Brutal and Nightmare is significantly reduced compared to the other difficulties. In addition, the maximum PsP that Duvalier can have is dependent upon difficulty-- on Easy the upper limit is 199 Psy Points, whereas on Nightmare this drops to 149.
